Refund Policy

If BadgeFinder isn't right for you, you have 30 days. We offer a 30-day refund window on every purchase — a full refund on subscriptions and the Event Pass, and a refund of any phone-credit pack for the reveals you haven't used. Refunds are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record.
01Our 30-day refund window
We want you to be happy with BadgeFinder. You can request a refund within 30 days of a purchase or a subscription renewal. Within that window we’ll refund:
- a subscription (Pro or Business) or the Event Pass — in full; and
- any phone-credit pack — for the reveals you haven’t used yet.
Phone reveals you’ve already spent aren’t refundable, because each one triggers a paid lookup with our data providers — but everything else in the window is.
02How billing & refunds are handled
BadgeFinder is sold through Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, so Paddle handles billing, tax and refunds. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through Paddle. Your purchase is also covered by the Paddle Buyer Terms.
03How to request a refund
You can request a refund two ways:
- email us at joachimbm96@gmail.com from your account email address, with your order details (your order ID is on your Paddle receipt); or
- request it directly from Paddle — use the link on your Paddle receipt, or the buyer portal at paddle.net.
Either way the refund is returned to your original payment method. We aim to acknowledge email requests within a few business days.
04Subscriptions (Pro & Business)
Annual plans are billed up front for the term and renew automatically. The 30-day refund window applies to your initial purchase and to each renewal charge.
You can cancel at any time to stop the next renewal. After the 30-day window we don’t refund a current term for unused time, but you keep access until the term ends.
05Event Pass (one-time)
The Event Pass is a one-time purchase that unlocks scanning and enrichment for an event window, with included phone credits. It’s refundable in full within 30 days of purchase; only phone reveals you’ve already spent are deducted from the refund. Scans aren’t metered and never reduce it.
06Phone-reveal credits
- Phone reveals are consumable credits — each one triggers a paid lookup with our data providers. Within 30 days we refund the credits you haven’t used; reveals already spent aren’t refundable.
- Unused credits don’t expire, so you can simply keep them on your account instead of refunding.
07Your statutory rights
If you bought as a consumer in the EEA, Norway or the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. Our 30-day refund window applies to everyone and is designed to meet or exceed that right.
For digital content and services that begin immediately, the strict statutory withdrawal right can end once you start using what you bought — but our 30-day goodwill window still gives you a clear window in which to ask for a refund.
Nothing in this policy limits your mandatory consumer rights under Norwegian or EU law.
08Billing errors & duplicate charges
If you were charged in error, charged twice, or charged after a valid cancellation, contact us or Paddle and we’ll refund the incorrect charge. This is not limited to the 30-day window.
09Chargebacks
If something looks wrong with a charge, please contact us or Paddle first — we can usually resolve a billing issue faster than a bank dispute. We reserve the right to suspend accounts with unresolved chargebacks.
10Changes & contact
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time; the version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. For anything refund-related, see also our Terms of Service or email joachimbm96@gmail.com.
